Embassy Suites by Hilton Aruba Resort

The hotel's spacious, modern pool area with complimentary drinks and snacks is praised. Guests appreciate the convenient beach access and the comfortable, clean rooms. The staff provides excellent customer service.

Food & Service Breakfast and happy hour services were okay. Waffle bar was a hit however, I suggest enLARGING the instructional sign. Everything else was typical Embassy Suites fashion. Dinner service was very slow despite they were not too packed. There was live music on Saturday night. The pool side restaurant was also very slow. The birds were gross because they would land on the overhead beams and drop poo or food. I noticed the beams inside over dinning tables and lounge areas were streaked with bird poo. There are plenty of ways to deter them from at least having access to land. Outside dining tables weren’t being cleared fast enough so these birds would converge in masses onto the tables & plates once a party got up feeding and dropping poo onto the tables & chairs. Gross. Crazy that Pool side drink & food service was pretty good and efficient. The pool lounge chairs need to be cleaned (power spray) nightly or early mornings to clear off the bird poo. Rooms Room service didn’t arrive on the first day. The second day I called at 5pm to inquire about it and was told they have until 6pm to service a room. That I find totally unacceptable. The third day I managed to see the house cleaning manager on the floor and asked if our room could be cleaned earlier than later. Sure thing he said and when we returned from the beach around 1pm our room was clean. Day four they arrived at a reasonable. The Beach The beach (we knew) was not attached to the hotel but they do offer this tunnel access with great fun art for safe access across the street to what is NOT a suitable beach for kids or older adults because its a rocky below the surface. I am not speaking of pebbles. These below surface rocks are those larger rocks which aren’t jagged but are smooth and slippery. It’s very hard maybe a little hazardous to walk on them. The hotel did have those huts with lounge chairs but no beach service for drinks or food. Not enjoyable. I was disappointed that the late check out service I requested and didn’t require could not be refunded because I booked my reservation through the Hilton app. My grandchildren and I had a marvelous time despite the little things however I am unsure if I would choose Embassy Suites when I visit Aruba again. It is hurricane season but only the wind is a factor so you need more service & cook staff.
